環球聖誕美食
As we finally approach the end of the year with Christmas Eve, 聖誕 Day, and New Year’s Eve just around the corner, the city is filled with a romantic festive atmosphere. It’s a great time for gift-giving and an excellent opportunity to indulge in delicious food. Hong Kong has never had a distinct 聖誕 cuisine; it has always drawn inspiration from European and American traditions. In the past, turkey and pudding were inseparable from the festivities. Still, today, there’s a wide array of exquisite buffet, fine dining experiences, Michelin-starred restaurants, and fusion cuisine to elevate the celebrations. In fact, different countries have their own special 聖誕 feasts, making the holiday season even more atmospheric.
美國
烤火雞
美國人在感恩節和聖誕節都會烤火雞,原來美國有不少聖誕節習俗都是來自英國。在16世紀英國人剛移居北美時,因為糧食不夠,當地的原住民們便提供火雞,從此以後,新移民便把火雞當作感恩的象徵。美國人亦會有以仍為聖誕料理,通常會以焗爐製作,加入蕃薯,上面鋪上一層奶油,味道十分香甜。

聖誕火雞
英國的聖誕大餐十分豐富,有燒豬、火雞、聖誕布甸、乾果餡餅等。英國人食聖誕火雞已有300多年歷史,英國人喜歡自行烹調火雞,將大量甘筍、西芹、洋蔥、栗子等填滿火雞內,再於表層塗抹多種香料,放入焗爐烤。

烤豬肉
Traditional Swedish Christmas food is called Julskinka, which is a pork butt. With the spread of the mixture of salt, pepper, mustard, and egg yolk on the surface of the pork, coated with breadcrumbs and roasted. Once cooked, it is usually sliced and served with sauce, or it can be used in sandwiches as well.

聖誕樹幹蛋糕
The Christmas Log Cake (Bûche de Noël) is a traditional Christmas dessert in France and is now popular in many European countries. In the past, Germanic people used to burn an entire tree trunk as a symbol of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new year with hopes of peace. In the late 19th century, pastry chefs took inspiration from this tradition and created a rolled sponge cake resembling a tree trunk. They would coat the outer layer with chocolate or cream-flavored icing and often use the icing to create the appearance of a tree bark. This cake is typically shared or gifted to loved ones on Christmas Eve for a joyful celebration.

聖誕火腿
芬蘭人在聖誕節時會有聖誕火腿(Joulukinkku),以鹽漬的豬肉裹上麵包粉,再低溫慢烤,切成薄片來吃。
德國
德式聖誕蛋糕
在德國的聖誕食物,包括烤鵝肉、通心粉沙律、杏仁糖、麥片粥、薑餅、小乳豬、德國白香腸。特定甜品是德式聖誕蛋糕(Stollen),以麵團、堅果、果乾、奶油搓在一起,再淋上砂糖,蛋糕可以存放很久,然後在聖誕節前後的四週,切片給家人享用。

基督徒及天主教徒會在平安夜食完隻烤乳豬,會在烤乳豬的嘴放入一粒黃色的芝士,其他主菜會有聖誕火腿及意大利麵,並會食充滿節日氣氛的紅波芝士(Edam cheese)。
